Apparently, my daughter is the Donald Trump of Pre-Schoolers because according to her she is always “very busy doing work”. Whether I’m calling her to come to the dinner table, telling her it’s time for bed or convincing her to get ready for school, I am almost always guaranteed to get the same answer “I’m busy”. Here are a few thing that kept my 4 year old sooooo busy this week.
Hiding my car keys.
Snapping crayons in half.
Ripping pages out of magazines.
Smearing lotion on the floor.
“Deconstructing” flowers and sprinkling the petals in my bed.
Singing the incorrect lyrics to popular songs.
Lining objects up by size.
Drawing on herself with markers.
Taking batteries out of the remote control.
Separating cereal from milk.
Filling the sink with water and getting then splashing it all over the bathroom.
Dripping Apple Juice on the floor.
Picking her nose.
Taking folded laundry out of the dresser.
Shoving small objects into the DVD player.
Texting “XbJ..3682!@” to random people in my phone.
Putting makeup on the dog.
Putting stickers on the window.
Squishing Macaroni and Cheese noodles into the table.
Who knew that a 4 year old could be so busy. I’m curious to see how her “work experience” will look on a resume.
What excuses do your kids give you?
